karen lambie

Now retired, Dr. Karen Lambie taught for a total of 32 years at both the elementary school and university levels. She has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia. Before retiring in 2010, she made the decision to dedicate the rest her life to work for social change… and raise awareness concerning human rights violations. She serves on the Board of Directors for Savannah Working Against Human Trafficking (SWAHT), volunteers for Prevent Child Abuse Bulloch County, is an Ambassador of Hope for Shared Hope International, serves on the Board of Advisors for the Malaika Foundation for Disadvantaged Girls in Kenya and is a foster parent for Bulloch County DEFACs. She has spoken throughout the state of Georgia on the issue of human trafficking. Speaking engagements have included trainings for foster parents, speaking to churches, schools and youth groups and training for medical personnel. She lives in Statesboro, Georgia.
